Novak Djokovic admitted during Wimbledon that he’s not at his best, but Carlos Alcaraz’s coach, Juan Carlos Ferrero, isn’t taking him lightly.
Djokovic had meniscus surgery a few weeks ago and is likely not at 100% for this year’s tournament. Despite making an incredible recovery to compete at Wimbledon, his injury hasn’t fully healed.
He has still been playing well and is just one match away from reaching the final again. Fans might see him face Alcaraz in what could be a thrilling rematch.
Djokovic’s Current Form:
At 37 years old, Djokovic may not be in peak condition, but Ferrero knows better than to underestimate him. Even when he’s not fully fit, Djokovic remains one of the top players on the ATP Tour and can beat anyone.

That’s why Ferrero told Marca he doesn’t consider Djokovic’s limitations on the court. “He’s made a record-breaking recovery. I think he’s doing pretty well, but he says he’s far from being at his best. He’s in the semi-finals at the moment. I’ve seen him move pretty well.”
If they meet in the final, Ferrero will prepare Alcaraz thoroughly for what promises to be an exciting rematch after last year’s historic final where Alcaraz narrowly won .
Fans are probably thinking about how intense this showdown will be!
Djokovic is undoubtedly eager for revenge this year, but Alcaraz won’t make it easy for him. Persistence was key to his victory last year and will be crucial again.
What do you think? Will Djokovic get his revenge or will Alcaraz defend his title?
