The reigning and former Wimbledon champions recently practiced at the Cinch Championships in Queen’s Club.
Carlos Alcaraz is back on London’s grass courts, ready to defend his title from last summer before his first Wimbledon win.
Though it’s only his second time at Queen’s Club, Alcaraz loves the tournament. Last year, he won his first professional grass-court title there by defeating Alex de Minaur in the final.
British fans and organizers were worried Alcaraz might skip this year’s event because of the short break after Roland Garros. But guess what? He decided to play! He even warmed up for his match against Francisco Cerundolo by practicing with Andy Murray, a three-time Grand Slam champion.

Surprising Return:
Murray has an amazing record at the Cinch Championships, winning more matches and titles than anyone else. This could be his last time playing here, so he’s testing himself against top players on grass courts. Fans might think it’s cool to see these two stars practice together.
Alcaraz has been unbeatable on grass this year, winning all 12 matches and grabbing his first Wimbledon title. But Murray showed why he’s a grass-court legend by beating Alcaraz 5-3 in their practice set.
These two have faced each other twice before on the ATP Tour. Murray won their first match in three sets at Indian Wells in 2021, but Alcaraz got revenge later that year in Vienna.
Murray has said he admires Alcaraz and loves watching him play right now. Since they are both at Queen’s Club, it makes sense they chose to practice together.
