Carlos Alcaraz is set to compete in the 2024 Paris Olympics, aiming for a medal and perhaps a new tattoo.
Athletes often celebrate their victories with tattoos, and Alcaraz is no different. Dominic Thiem’s mother even gets inked whenever he wins a trophy, which surely motivates him.
Although Alcaraz doesn’t mark every win with a tattoo, he does commemorate the most special ones. For instance, he got one after his US Open victory two years ago .
Alcaraz’s Tattoo Tradition:
Last year’s Wimbledon win earned him another tattoo, and he’s planning one for his recent Roland Garros triumph. Speaking to L’Equipe after his Paris win, the 21-year-old said he’d get more ink if he returns from Paris with an Olympic gold medal.
“If I ever bring back gold from Paris, in singles or doubles, it will also deserve its little tattoo.”
Winning Olympic gold is a dream many athletes share. It’s not just any medal; it’s the most prestigious one at the Games.
“The Games are held every four years and it is a special tournament because it is not just for you because you represent a whole country, all Spaniards.”
Fans might think it’s cool how Alcaraz uses tattoos to celebrate his achievements. His Roland Garros tattoo will feature the Eiffel Tower prominently. For Wimbledon, he chose a strawberry design—showing off his creative side.
