Carlos Alcaraz is still in the top three of the ATP rankings after making it to his second Wimbledon final.
This year, just like last, Alcaraz will face Novak Djokovic, who has won Wimbledon seven times. In the semifinals, Alcaraz lost the first set but came back strong to beat Daniil Medvedev in four sets. On the other side, Djokovic played amazing tennis to defeat Lorenzo Musetti and secure his spot as World No. 2.
At the start of Wimbledon, there was a chance Alcaraz might drop out of the top four due to a shaky performance leading up to the tournament. He had an early exit at Queen’s Club against Jack Draper which cost him valuable ranking points and affected his seeding at Wimbledon.
Alcaraz’s Rankings and Points:
Despite defending all 2000 points from last year’s win, he risked falling to fifth if he didn’t make it past week two. That would have been his lowest ranking since 2022. Luckily for him, that didn’t happen; he defeated Medvedev and boosted his live rankings tally to 7430 points. Fans might think it’s thrilling how close these rankings can get!

Alexander Zverev hoped for an Alcaraz stumble so he could move up in rank but no such luck for him this time around.
Djokovic has locked in the second spot regardless of Sunday’s outcome. But if Djokovic wins another title , Alcaraz will keep his pre-tournament score of 8130 points.
