As one of the best tennis players ever, he always aims high. Winning every match is his goal, even if some events are more important than others now. Losing isn’t an option for him.
His performance at the US Open wasn’t his best, which is unusual. This might be because of what happened a few weeks earlier.

Lindsay Davenport shared her thoughts with Sport Klub about this achievement: “Big, but that’s normal. I was delighted when he won the gold medal in Paris. If you had asked him if he wanted Olympic gold or all four Grand Slam tournaments, I am convinced he would have said gold. It is without a doubt the best moment in the world of tennis this year.”
She also added: “He wanted it more than anyone else, more than anything in the world. And he did all this after surgery and losing the final at Wimbledon. It just shows his greatness.”
Returning to New York for another major event showed that Djokovic still has potential when fully motivated like he was in Paris. The question remains whether he can bring that same intensity to every event moving forward.
