Kyrgios Practices With Djokovic At Wimbledon

-

Nick Kyrgios is almost ready to play tennis again and even practiced lightly with Novak Djokovic in London.

He recently announced that he plans to return to the courts later this month. Kyrgios will participate in the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in New York soon and wants to start by playing doubles before moving on to singles matches.

Kyrgios has been away from tennis for a long time because of injuries. First, he had a knee problem, then hurt his wrist in Mallorca , keeping him off the court since late 2022.

Upcoming Plans:

He’s only played one match on the ATP Tour last year. Currently, he’s in London doing commentary for Wimbledon 2024 as part of his gradual move into media work. This isn’t new for him; he did commentary during the ATP Finals last year and at the Australian Open earlier this year.

While he’s good at talking about tennis, Kyrgios prefers playing it. Djokovic sent him a kind message before their recent meeting at Wimbledon, where they practiced together on grass for the first time since their famous 2022 final.

Fans might think it’s exciting to see them practice together again after so long.

During their practice session, they joked around. Kyrgios teased Djokovic by saying, “Come on Grand Slam champion!” The crowd loved it and so did both players.

What do you think about Kyrgios making a comeback?
