Murray Predicts Low Viewership for Saudi Exhibition with Djokovic, Nadal, Alcaraz

-

Andy Murray, known for his dry humor, recently poked fun at the upcoming Six Kings Slam Exhibition on social media.

After playing his last professional match in this year’s Olympics men’s doubles, Murray is adjusting to retirement. He and Dan Evans had thrilling matches but were eventually defeated by Taylor Fritz and Tommy Paul in the quarterfinals.

Murray was emotional as he received a standing ovation marking the end of his career .

Life After Tennis:

Although worried about stepping away from tennis, Murray found it easier than expected. Surprisingly, he even lost weight after retiring. Now more active on social media, he entertains fans with updates about his new life. Recently, he replied to a post about the Six Kings Slam Exhibition happening in Saudi Arabia from October 16th to 19th.

The exhibition will feature top players like Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, and Holger Rune. Djokovic and Nadal got a bye to the semifinals while others need to compete for their spots.

Fans might think it’s cool that these big names are playing together again! The promo video for the event is impressive too; it shows players in dramatic roles like “Leader of Wolves” (Djokovic) and “Clay Warrior” (Nadal). Liam Broady praised it highly:

>”Speechless as to how damn cool this promo is. Probably best I’ve ever seen in tennis. Would watch this movie. 10/10.”

However, Murray couldn’t resist teasing Broady by saying:

>”Except it’s not a movie and you won’t watch it because it’s an exhibition tennis event that nobody cares about.”

Broady responded by calling out Murray’s negativity:

>”Man why you so negative.”

Even though it’s just an exhibition match, having such famous players could draw lots of attention. Some people might not watch due to concerns over Saudi Arabia’s human rights record. Nadal has faced criticism for being an ambassador for the Saudi Tennis Federation.

What do you think? Will you watch the Six Kings Slam?
