Holger Rune and Boris Becker have had a public disagreement online.
Their argument started when Becker questioned Patrick Mouratoglou’s dedication as a coach. Rune teamed up with Becker after winning only once in 11 matches, replacing Mouratoglou and Lars Christensen for the rest of the season.
Becker helped Rune finish the year strong by qualifying for the ATP Finals in Turin. They planned to continue working together into the new season.
Despite their success, their partnership ended quickly in 2024 because of scheduling issues. Some experts believe there was more to their split than just schedules .
