Sinner Maintains Lead in Latest ATP Rankings

-

After a Grand Slam, many top ATP players take a break, but some jump right back into action on grass courts.

This past week, none of the top six players competed, so the Top 10 rankings stayed mostly the same. Jannik Sinner is enjoying his second week as World No. 1 with a big lead despite losing 45 points from last year’s Den Bosch quarterfinals.

Sinner has a 900-point lead over Carlos Alcaraz. The Spaniard needs to defend two grass titles worth 2500 points, meaning the No. 1 ranking won’t change hands immediately after Wimbledon .

Rankings and Movements:

Novak Djokovic remains third after his record-breaking 428-week reign as No. 1 ended recently. He’s racing against time to recover for Wimbledon following knee surgery.

Alexander Zverev and Daniil Medvedev could face off in Halle this week, sitting at fourth and fifth respectively. Meanwhile, Casper Ruud and Hubert Hurkacz dropped to eighth and ninth.

The biggest mover in the Top 10 is Alex de Minaur, who won the Libema Open and moved up to seventh—a career-high for him! Sebastian Korda also climbed three spots to reach 23rd after being the runner-up in Den Bosch.

Fans might find these shifts exciting as they look forward to upcoming matches.

British player Jack Draper celebrated his first ATP title by winning the Stuttgart Open against Matteo Berrettini. At just 22 years old, he’s now Britain’s new No. 1 (31st globally), making him the youngest since Andy Murray in 2009!

Flavio Cobolli reached a career-high at 49th place while Pavel Kotov hit his peak at 50th. Despite losing in Stuttgart’s final, Berrettini jumped up by thirty spots in rankings—now he’s at number sixty-five and aiming for a seeding spot at Wimbledon if he performs well in Halle.

French lefty Hugo Gaston re-entered the Top 70 (69th) after winning another ATP challenge in Lyon. Italian veteran Fabio Fognini made it back into the Top 100 following his quarterfinal run at Perugia Challenger.
