Jannik Sinner is now too strong for most of his rivals.
For a while, fans wondered when Sinner would truly shine. As a teenager, he already challenged Nadal at Roland Garros.
Four years later, he won his first Grand Slam at the 2024 Australian Open. At 23, he claimed his second major title at the US Open .
Name | Age | Points | Stats 2024 |
---|---|---|---|
it Jannik Sinner | 23 | 15,405 | 33 - 3 |
Sinner also became World No. 1 on the ATP Tour but faced a setback with a positive test for clostebol. After taking it slow, he’s back and playing incredibly well this year.
Sinner’s Dominance:
Toni Nadal wrote in El Pais that Sinner is almost unbeatable now. His aggressive yet controlled style leaves opponents with little chance to fight back.
Fans think it’s amazing how consistent Sinner has become. He rarely makes errors and keeps pushing forward, which led him to two major titles early in his career.
“Today, he has become a player who is practically unstoppable for the vast majority of his opponents,” Toni Nadal said. “He delivers each stroke with great speed and makes very few unforced errors.”
Nadal also mentioned Fritz’s mistake in their US Open final: “Overcoming him from the back of the court is almost impossible… making the wrong decision to play very fast rallies from the back of the court.”
The US Open final against Taylor Fritz was interesting because many thought Fritz could challenge Sinner. But despite some good moments from Fritz, he couldn’t win even one set.
Even though Toni Nadal acknowledges Sinner’s greatness, he still prefers Carlos Alcaraz as a challenger for Sinner. Alcaraz currently holds more major titles than Sinner but needs to keep outplaying him regularly to maintain that lead.
