Tomic Ejected for Heckling Opponent

-

Bernard Tomic is a name known by most tennis fans, but not for the right reasons.

Once hailed as a prodigy, Tomic’s career took a nosedive due to his antics, much like Nick Kyrgios. His behavior overshadowed his talent and he never truly reached his potential.

Tomic’s game has suffered over the years. Despite having immense talent, he couldn’t settle down or focus on tennis . It’s sad because many believed he could have been one of the greats.

Recent Events:

Lately, Tomic has been trying to make a comeback by playing in lower-tier tournaments. Last week, he competed in an ATP Challenger event in Santo Domingo and made it to the quarter-finals.

However, he lost badly to Anders Andrade with scores of 2-6, 2-6. Frustrated by this loss, Tomic didn’t even shake hands with Andrade after the match. But that wasn’t the end of it.

During the final match between Andrade and Damir Dzumhur, Tomic was seen in the stands heckling Andrade instead of supporting Dzumhur. This led to complaints from Andrade and ultimately got Tomic kicked out of the stadium.

Fans might think this behavior is just another chapter in Tomic’s long list of controversies.

The whole situation seemed surreal but it actually happened. Why did Tomic do this? No one knows for sure but it’s likely tied to his earlier defeat or past disagreements with Andrade.

Andrade eventually lost 4-6, 4-6 and pointed out Tomic’s history of bad behavior saying: “I may not be a great tennis player, but what I am not is a bad person and a bad loser.”

Tomic recently claimed he’s serious about making it back into the Top 100 players. Whether that happens remains uncertain though.

Old habits seem hard for him to break which is why he’s playing at smaller events like Santo Domingo instead of major ones like Cincinnati ATP Masters 1000 tournament.

What do you think about all this?
