Stefanos Tsitsipas is struggling with his game and seems frustrated with his father, who is also his coach.
For years, Stefanos has been coached by his dad, Apostolos. It worked well when he was younger, but things have changed.
As a teen, he showed great promise. Now, he’s not playing as well and some think it’s time for a coaching change.
He has tried other coaches along with his dad but never fully moved away from him. Many people think the relationship isn’t working anymore and Stefanos himself seems annoyed by it.

Frustration Boils Over
Despite saying he’ll always work with his father, Stefanos recently expressed that he’s upset because his dad doesn’t listen to him. “I’ve already been complaining to my coach about it [not being able to perform with his forehand] for the last four-five days. That was also the reason why I had a confrontation with him during the match; I’m not used to it.”
“For me an ATP Masters 1000 match is an important match. I need and I deserve a coach that listens to me and hears my feedback as a player. My father hasn’t been very smart or very good at handling those situations; it’s not the first time he has done that. I’m really disappointed at him.”
Fans might wonder if this will lead to changes in his team soon.
Stefanos admitted he’s unsure about hiring a new coach but feels let down by how things are now. “I really don’t know right now if I’d consider any changes, but I’m really disappointed,” he said. “The most important thing for a player is to have direct and good feedback from a coach. The coach is not the one holding a racket; the player is the one trying to execute a game plan.”
“It’s collaborative work you put in together,” he continued. “It has to be reciprocal in order for me to try to develop my tennis.”
Calls for him to separate from his dad have been around for years, yet no decision has been made so far.
What do you think? Should Stefanos get a new coach or stick with family?
