Tsitsipas, Rublev, Auger-Aliassime to Compete at Boodles Challenge

-

The 2024 Boodles Challenge is set for June 25th to 29th.

Before Wimbledon, players often participate in various exhibition matches. Unlike other major tournaments, Wimbledon has a unique preparation period.

Players usually need rest after competing in Madrid, Rome, and Roland Garros.

They often skip the ATP lead-up events but still want practice on grass courts before Wimbledon. That’s why two notable exhibitions take place: the Giorgio Armani Tennis Classic at Hurlingham Club and the Boodles Challenge at Stoke Park.

First held in 2002, the Boodles Challenge has become a favorite pre-Wimbledon event with stars like Andy Roddick, Andre Agassi, Maria Sharapova, Novak Djokovic, and Andy Murray participating over the years.

Fans might think it’s exciting to see their favorite players fine-tuning their skills before Wimbledon.

In 2024, Andrey Rublev leads the pack at the Boodles Challenge. He aims to shake off his disappointing Roland Garros loss and start fresh on grass. Hubert Hurkacz will join him; his powerful serve is well-suited for grass courts.

Stefanos Tsitsipas isn’t known for his grass-court prowess but will use this opportunity to improve before Wimbledon. Felix Auger-Aliassime will also be there to sharpen his game.

Nicolas Jarry and Sebastian Korda are also on the list; both have strong serves that they want to perfect ahead of Wimbledon.
