Paula Badosa shared how Stefanos Tsitsipas was there for her during her injury, even though it was tough for him. Their relationship, which began in June 2023, caught a lot of attention because they didn’t hide from the public eye like some other couples do. They did have a short breakup earlier this year but got back together soon after, despite some family drama.
During their time apart, Tsitsipas’ mom wasn’t happy about their reunion since she wasn’t asked about it. But now, the couple seems stronger than ever. They even teamed up for mixed doubles recently, although there was a moment when Tsitsipas scared Badosa by smashing his racket .
Love and Support:
In an interview with Hola!, Tsitsipas recalled falling for Badosa at first sight during the 2020 Australian Open. Badosa shared how he stood by her side after she got hurt at Wimbledon just weeks into their relationship. “Stefanos was an unconditional support,” she said. “He is very sensitive and sometimes suffered too much.”

Fans might think it’s sweet to see such strong support between them.
Badosa celebrated winning her first title in over two years at the Citi Open in Washington by thanking Tsitsipas first because he helped her through hard times. She said, “There were times when I had to cheer myself up just for him.” His constant care meant so much that he was the first person she called after winning.
While Tsitsipas played a big role in helping Badosa recover, she’s also proud of being independent and finding strength within herself when things get tough. She explained how hitting rock bottom has always pushed her to make positive changes: “I am a person who when I hit rock bottom… I manage to get a lot of strength out of it.”
Recently, Badosa faced accusations of racism due to a controversial picture shared by her coach Pol Toledo showing her using chopsticks offensively toward Asians. Although she initially apologized, she later deleted it and accused critics online of bullying: “The incident should have been over when I said sorry.”
