“Daniil is gonna play singles against Shelton. You are not going to lose to Tiafoe,” Zverev quoted Alcaraz as saying. “He had so much confidence in me; I never had that within myself.”
Medvedev humorously pointed out how everyone seemed to think he would lose his match against Shelton: “So you knew I’m gonna lose, right? (Laughter.)”
